Housing Choice Voucher Program Inspector
We are looking for an individual for a part-time contract position to inspect the general condition and appearance of the exterior and interior of premises, notating the condition to determine if the housing is decent, safe and sanitary in accordance with HUD Standards. The individual should meet the following minimum qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Knowledge of general construction practices, procedures and requirements
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, residents and landlords
Handle sensitive & stressful situations with tact and diplomacy
Ability to communicate effectively both oral and written
Effective time management, organization and attention to detail
Demonstrate the ability to exercise initiative and independent judgement
Must possess and maintain a valid NC Drivers License and maintain an insurable driving record. You can not have no more than 6 accumulated points in 3 consecutive years.
